Amanda Sullivan, MA, LCMHC
Amanda Sullivan is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over thirty years of experience assisting families and adults. A graduate of Wake Forest University, as a therapist, Amanda currently works with adults who are struggling with grief or depression, issues related to midlife challenges, ADHD, trauma, and caregiving. Believing in the power of finding meaning and purpose in one’s life, Amanda uses a variety of counseling techniques including EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, expressive arts therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and equine-assisted learning. She is an avid writer, artist, and former professional photographer and often shares these skills in her practice, encouraging clients to use their creativity to relieve stress and anxiety and improve focus.
As a life coach, Amanda works with clients who are striving to find a way through clutter (both mental and physical). She employs a variety of simple techniques to help you break down larger areas into smaller, more manageable tasks, clearing a space bit by bit to create changes in habits instead of just “cleaning up a space.” For mental clarity, she helps create calm from overwhelm, turning scattered thoughts into an organized process of focus and purpose.
A nature enthusiast since childhood, Amanda loves plants and animals and being outdoors. The mountains are her go-to spot for healing and stress relief, and she tries to bring a bit of nature into her office through her many plants. What she offers her clients is a safe space to breathe, re-focus, and find the necessary steps to move forward through stress.
